RunTime Error Persists

I had this problem at the outset and by hanging out on the LM/P3D Forums, came across a solution that appeared to have fixed it. However it has returned, although intermittently. Is anyone else, or has anyone else had a problem with runtime errors and have you found a solid solution?

Thanks!

I had them at first turned my settings down a little and they went away but after I installed AI Carriers and RFN gauge they came back last night.

Yea kinda the same scenario here as well. I'm being careful to load just payware type/FSX Native Aircraft right now to limit the problem. It seems to be a gremlin that a lot of people are chasing right now that doesn't have one specific cause.

I sometimes get that but then I adjust my clock (GMT etc) and things come good - sometimes . I think I must need a new battery .

I remember a few months ago in 1.4, watching RAM rates in the window where you see resources for your computer and noticed on long periods of time in ORBX lands, the RAM would build up to huge amounts and I could finally watch the sim crash because the scenery was growing so massive. I could then run the sim in regular territories and it never spiked like that and I wouldn't crash.

Then, for some reason, perhaps after a update for ORBX sceneries, the DOS background programs that some of the scenery use (moving trees, animated people, etc) stopped autoloading and would ask if I wanted them to load. If I clicked no, the scenery still loaded up, but no moving trees, no animated people, etc. I also noticed that my frame rates were much higher (by quite a bit, and even in flight, which if you are far away from objects, they should be turned off, I would think). The sim also stopped crashing.

When I want to do photography or just some laps in a Piper or Cessna, etc, I'll activate the DOS background programs. But I learned to fly without them and I had no crashes.

Now, this was in 1.4. I haven't brought any ORBX over yet, and I haven't had but 1 'system out of memory' crash, which I think was at the stock airport from 1.4, when in the Beta testing stage.

So..... Bottom line, this could be scenery VRAM or something related to that, (resource monster, lets say) that 'might' be causing the crashes, like with Agpilots new AI Carriers. Something with some addons could be causing this, and you 'might' be able to track it down, like I did with ORBX on my rig.
