This morning I was informed about the fact that our member Maarten Brouwer has passes away.

Maarten was a very active member for many years. The last years he decided to explore the world, and became a bit less active here at the forum.
Those who know him, will remember him as a very kind and modest person.

Huub Vink,

Thank you for passing this along; I grew accustomed to seeing his work in the library. My condolences on this loss to his family and friends, including those here at SOH.

Very sad news indeed. I was fortunate to meet with him a couple of times in the past, a very friendly man.

That is sad, rest in peace Maarten. I was privileged to have known him and communicated with him here at SOH. His repaints were a work of art too and his memory will live on through his repaints.

Very sad to hear this about Martin. He was always an inspiration, helpful and very supportive behind the scenes and online. I have missed him this past year as he stepped away to focus on other things, and will certainly miss his presence here.

My condolences to Martin's family and friends.
