• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

What a concise and fascinating summary!
Thank you.
Our "local" P-51 ZK-TAF is just painted silver all over, lazy blighters :)
It never occurred to me that the rudder was fabric, but checking the list video I took, sure enough.
Would've been an interesting sum for the designers: more filler, better aero, but more weight!

Question: What about a tad more war-weariness and grime like mud or oil? After all only a chosen few runways were hard surfaced and even then the parking spots were in the woods.
I understand what you mean but the funny thing is: I removed some of the weathering from this one. :)
I asumed that this Kurfurst wasn't that old and it was Maj. Wilhelm Batz his personal mount, and II./JG 52 didn't fly any combat sorties at all at Zeltweg, so it wouldn't be that dirty.

You got me then: You're right - there's a time for everything
Funny thing: M$ made it a point to show of the mud/dirt effects your mount is collecting in -24 so it doesn't have to come from painters anymore

Rare bird: The ROK Air Force Buhwal-ho, an observation plane that was the first domestically designed aircraft in South Korea. Unique tailwheel arrangement, that's for sure. Looks great outside and flies well, dunno if the panel looked that rough in the real plane or not. But I do love it when people let us recreate literally unique aviation history in the sim.
