• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

I went back to The Admiralty Islands & finished off doing the late'44 period fields.

Momote had the runway lengthened to 7000ft, & Seabees completed airstrips on Pityilu Island (used by USN for carrier sqns between deployments aboard CVs), & Ponam Island (mainly maintenance & overhaul, used by BPF spring '45)...PNG_LosNegros_44L from the East.jpg

Apart from readmes & packaging, I have 2 sceneries ready to go:

Admiralty Islands, including Emirau.
3 different periods,

Pre-US invasion
Early '44
Late '44

Palau Islands, with 2 periods,

Pre-US invasion (SEP '44)
Post-US invasion

I've also got a collection of ki-43 Oscar wreck objects, plus a few ship projects on the go, including some beached/wrecked Jap Marus (courtesy of Stuart's GMAX files as a source), a small Lugger.

Actually I do get slightly reduced framerates around Wewak in some of my missions, but that's probably because I put too many airplanes, vehicles, people and stuff on the airfields... Reducing that to a sensible number should solve the issue.

Skylane, there's usually at least one object-intensive "gob" in each of the packages I do. Stripping the number of gsl trees back can make it less-taxing, but you'll lose so much of the eye candy it'll be like flying over a green desert!

Meanwhile, something of a WIP preview -

One of a range ( I hope), it's multi-LOD & I plan to do some infrastructure ship bgls & wrecks as well...

Cant get AI to attack "amphibious vehicles", but if I change the object family/type to a ship, well then, that's a different story...

I've spent some time creating some other JAP Barge options.

All are multi-LOD. I also made a couple of the Daihatsu's bigger brother, the Toko-Daihatsu...

Just working on the DP files & trying them out in some simple missions. Sometimes it's cool just putting your plane on autopilot, then using trail view toggle backwards & forwards between the targets & AI attack flights ...

Oh, I also made a collection of static wrecks too...JAP_Daihatsu_wrecks_a.jpg
