Here are a few showing some of the damage effects that are part of the new Spitfires.

Fantastic Daniel! Great to see that the cockpit damage finally became a reality!

How did you get it to stick on the opening parts of the canopy?

Those are part of the model instead of an effect. I believe Steve used the engine 3 endcap and I used a little AHK magic to animate it in response to damage to the canopy. But IIRC the initial version just put engine3 in the same damage box with the canopy and it triggered when engine3 was damaged. The current setup with the Spitfire allows either of two sets of bullet holes to appear on the canopy.

Those are Air Sea Rescue markings. No. 278 Squadron, among others, used Spitfires to spot and mark downed pilots, and drop supplies or inflatable rafts to them while they awaited pickup.

Yes and quite a step up for the pilots who were used to flying Lysanders, Walrus and Ansons they were equipped with prior to D-Day

A Bf-109E-4 JG51 "Molders" from CFS3-Battle of Britain/Campaign Expansion. One of my favorite expansions and one of the most interesting parts of WW II to me. You can get this brilliant expansion here : https://cfs3bob.wixsite.com/cfs3-bob . Well worth the extra time to install the campaign version ! Great job Guys !
