How do you..or can you search FS9 for airports in anyway other than just opening the flight planer and going through all the lists?..i mean is there a map to look at? i want to fly from Lone pine ca to auburn ca then i want to make a stop somewhere in northern cal..then on to albany or...bt i have no way of finding info on airports between albany and auburn...how would i go about this?

For fun......try skyvector.com

http://skyvector.com/
lots of fun to lay a flight plan
Drag the map to scroll
Zoom using slider
Right-click to build flight plan

right click on any airport/rwy on the maps to see what it is

this is a fun one, too.
free to register---then use link "Flight Planning/Flight plan and file IFR now"
http://flightaware.com/

If you're using the default flight planner, first set up you departure and end destination points. Then go to show route and look at the map there. You can pick out in between destinations from that map.

Hope this helps
