Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Seeking the VSP Virtual Schneider Project VFR Scenery Fix

wolfebee89

SOH-CM-2024
searching for the VSP Calshot 1929 scenery fix (presumably also by Barrie Semmens) that aligns said scenery to users of JustFlight / Horizon Simulations' VFR Terrain UK scenery for FS2004; the wayback machine did not manage to archive said file, and it is missing from the VSP files set at TOH.

It would be great if the file could be posted to the Old Hangar Downloads section and/or uploaded here to SOH Library to fully complete the available Virtual Schneider Project release @ TOH

Thanks!

If you find it we can probably post it to the TOH files page.
would be great to have a working email addy for Barrie Semmens; the one from circa 2003 included in the Southampton module 2 soton02b scenery readme is no longer functional

Semmens did upload of late (Nov 2025) an addon for FSX https://library.avsim.net/extsearch...r]=Barrie+Semmens&extended_search[category]=0 but unfortunately, there is no email addy in the included readme

Moreover, given the absence of flightsim.com, it would be nice if Semmens would consider uploading his prior complete Southampton sceneries (including the modern-day Calshot spit) for FS2002/4 aligned to VFR UK scenery to Avsim flight library; perchance someone here who is an acquainted with him and has his email, can send him the relevant proposition in said regard.

many thanks again

Really disappointing that the wayback machine didn't get a more complete image of the site for as many times as it took a snapshot. A total of 4 of the zip files and the promo video is all it got of the files.

so with a bit of effort, I managed to find the following (albeit not all) of Barrie Semmens' Southampton sceneries:

and the updates for JustFlight VFR England/Wales Photo scenery:

unfortunately, the VFR update for Calshot spit and likewise the remainder of Semmens' Southampton sceneries have yet to be found, presumably until such time that flightsim returns, if ever...
