Slow Panning speed with hat switch

SOH-CM-2022
A few days ago I decided to install FSX-SE. I already have the boxed version installed, and don't want to get ride of that.

In the boxed version panning around using the hat switch on my CH yoke is smooth and with decent speed. I never messed with the speed, so it's at default.

After installing and loading FSX-SE panning in any view is very slow and jaggy.
I read different forum posts and as suggested to change the pitch and heading pan speed to no avail. No matter what value on any of the camera views I choose, the panning speed stays the same.
Oh, and yes, I am making the adjustments to the camera.cfg file in the roaming folder, and not in the FSX directory.

I don't mind so much the slow panning in the outside views, but in the virtual cockpit view I would like to get to the different button/switch locations a bit faster.

Does anyone have any additional suggestions on how to increase the panning speed.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

I run FSX-SE in default settings on a separate HDD under Windows 10.
GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 4GB, factory OC.
CPU: InTel i7 2700k
16 GB DDR3 memory
No add-ons.

As a reminder, FSX Acc is running just fine on that same HDD.

Thanks for the suggestion.

But as I stated above that is exactly what I tried, to no avail.

Making the same adjustments for FSX boxed DOES work for FSX boxed.

I am lost :banghead:
