Been enjoying the Full Throttle drag series from the states this year. We can't get a thing going down under this year...rain keeps moving in every time there's a meeting on.
New Year series was cancelled due to flooding rains.
Winternationals in early June postponed after starting due to rain, set to re-commence this weekend...rain forecast again for this weekend, after weeks of fine, clear, cold, dry weather.:banghead:

Here's an antipodean, who doesn't give a rot for straight-line racing.

Went to many in my youth, we have two dragstrips real close and then Rockingham and Bristol. But it never clicked, too much like the military, hurry up and wait! Just too boring for my ever-running metabolism. I've seen about every form of racing live and nothing beats what NASCAR use to be at Bristol. Next to that, AMA bikes, which VIR for some reason, has dropped from their schedule this year. Pees me off.

Must be why Grubnik lives up here now and drives for Kalitta. He won a couple rounds last week. They need more money and better chief.

Yeah...think he finally got something going and made a final at the Chicago venue. That Al-Anabi lot are a very strong team this year right through the classes, but as you say they have got truck loads of middle-eastern money to run on.
