• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

South African Sabre

jankees

SOH-CM-2025
while the Australian Sabre is on the shelf for now, I thought I'd try a South African F-86, of No 2 Squadron. Still Wip, but nearly there. What do you think?

Is this better? The tail had to be orange too of course..Sorry about that..but remember, I am colorblind..
As for the difference with Mustangs, no there isn't that much difference, still North American Aviation, except I'm using Photoshop now, and compared to P-51's and P-47's, there isn't that much choice in paintschemes. But don't worry, I'll do a few more.

Still a good effort, well done. I visited this one in Pretoria earlier this year. The South Africans have an impressive line up at their Museum in Pretoria (Swartkop Air Force Base). Have a look at the SAAF Roundal in the background on the hangar wall.
