Give me my presents or I'll cook your reindeer, teen warns

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/...esents-or-i-ll-cook-your-reindeer-teen-warns/

While most kids stay on their best behaviour to ensure they don't make Santa's naughty list, one little girl has giving the big man in red an ultimatum.
Mekeeda Austin warned Father Christmas that if he doesn't deliver her gifts he will be killed.
The demanding 13-year-old threatened to hunt down Santa's reindeers and 'cook them and serve their meat to homeless people on Xmas day'.
On the wish-list was a Blackberry, money, Converse shoes, and sunglasses.
The letter to Santa was signed off 'Remember...two of these, or you die.'
But the girl's mother is not punishing her for the threatening note, according to the Telegraph.com.au.
'When I first found the letter I thought it was funny, now I think I better get her what she wants, the last thing I want is for her to kill Santa,' her mother Tracey said.
'I know it sounds like she is spoilt but I like to get my daughter what she wants also you don't want to get on the wrong side of her.'

If she was my kid I tell you what I'd give her :a1089:

Pete.

I think the mother needs a smack upside the head with a 'clue by four' (in the hope that she gets a clue) as much as the daughter does. All she's teaching her daughter if she gives in is that .....

violence + threats = pay-off!

:isadizzy::a1451::banghead:

If it was my daughter I'd make sure she got nothing off her list as a lesson.

Why is a 13-year-old writing a letter to Santa??? And a threatening letter at that??? What the mom should get her for Christmas is professional counseling.

A Blackberry! LOL!

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely despise the BB I have to use for work. It is trash. I say give her the BB. It is more punishment having one of those things than not. :mixedsmi:

Old saying; The tree is known by its fruit.

Sad story indeed.

The saddest part seems to me, the way parents these days just don't seem to have a clue on how to bring up their kids.
Half of them are totally incapable of minding a goldfish let alone a child.
Complete incompetents!

They simply let their offspring run their lives, walk over everyone, destroy what they like...or dislike, and hold everthing and everyone in vile contempt...

Remember "spare the rod, spoil the child". The government replaced all the rods with lawyers 40 years ago! Use a rod and you will end up in a cell.

The brave new world of idiotic extremity...

Yes Terry.

Discipline and courtesy have been misconstrued by today's 'do gooders' as cruelty and stupidity.
Courtesy is for the weak, it seems. Discipline for child bashers.

You just can't win!

Why is it that people today take everything to such extremes?

Whatever happened to good old plain logic and commonsense? Am I getting old?

You could do what I do Nigel and completely ignore anything the 'PC' morons come up with and live my life the way I want to live it regardless of their totally misguided and ill thought out opinions. Most 'PC' ideas are stupid to anyone with an ounce of intelligence and should be ignored as they serve no useful purpose.

Why do the media pick these things up? All they are doing is pandering to these peoples need to have their name in the news. It is really a non story and the media or news outlets should be ashamed of themselves.

A like-minded Gentleman Sir...I salute you

That I do Larry. :wavey:

That's why I sold up everything I owned 6 years ago and bought my self a few acres in an idyllic spot in Northern Greece, very far from the madding crowd.

I now grow nearly everything my family consumes - fruit and veg, the aroma of which reaches you long before it ever arrives in the kitchen,...
milk from my two cows (I had a 3 year old bull up till July - but he very nearly killed me - I bare the scar that he left me with...and a freezer full of prime beef!),
eggs and poultry that put food back on everyone's palate and bread the stuff of times battles were won over.

Mother nature does a lot of caring too, beautiful blackberries, late summer/autumn, fresh fish (my wife and I don't watch much tv- we stroll down to the beach for a spot of night fishing.
And mushrooms worth bringing your bacon home for.

Which reminds me, next winter I'll try my hand at making some of my own.

Stocks & shares?
Couldn't give two hoots for the devalued ones; homemade jams, pickles of everything that's pickle-able, home-dried prunes, sun dried tomatoes, olives...all proudly lined up in crocks and jars on my kitchen and larder shelves where I can keep my watchful eye on them.

Electricity bills?
Solar power.

Water bills?
Spring and well.

Heating, then?
Firewood is a crop from woods on my land.

Okay...Phone!
Don't talk much...too busy writing to the friends I care about here at SOH!

Noisy neighbours?
Couple of miles away...quiet country folk.

Time?
It's MINE!!!

Fruitcake?
A healthy apprecition of dark fruitcake which I know you share...
(that reminds me; I'll have the recipe up for you here on the morrow!)

Remember "spare the rod, spoil the child". The government replaced all the rods with lawyers 40 years ago!
....One could always present (handcuff) the child with a lawyer, and then whenever the little one misbehaved, beat the lawyer.

Sure...it'd all be fun & games for a bit, but sooner than later the lawyer's bruising would become profound, the novelty would wear off, and the child would become embeded with a latent empathic triggered disfunction that we could associate with a form of obedience. I mean...have you ever heard a lawyer whine, much less complain of minor pain...? Imagine the longterm verbal effect that a severely beaten lawyer would have on a child.

I'm certain that television's Super Nanny would approve, especially if you crouched down and looked the lawyer directly in the eyes while you whooped. Certainly most of us would agree (that in fact), lawyers could have a practical purpose beyond that of catapult fodder.

Perhaps the child's rite of passage into the cloak of obedience and discipline could actually be the act of cutting the catatpult's restraining bind to launch the now uneeded lawyer up and over the facade of the nearest hostile corporate take-over. Imagine how happy the lawyer would be to loose the shackled child and regain the carnivorous comradery of a real law practice...much like Gollem and the ring....

...And our little one would sleep so timidly, so politely, knowing that at any moment, yet another disposable lawyer could be found cowering beneath the bed, beginning anew the pattern of third party disiplinarian violence, and all the ungodly legalistic whining and howling hence associated...

It is Heartbreaking that some folks shouldn't have Kids..Period..
Bad parent(s) often raise Bad children..A fact of life..

This teenager has shown a poor attitude and a lack of control over Her emotions..
A very spoiled and out of control teenager, which I see often this day and time..
It is a Great pity that "we" allow such things to happen in our society..
Truly Heartbreaking..

Magoo, HouseHobbit;

Beautifully and most eloquently put Gentlemen.

It is indeed a refreshing pleasure to see such elegant command of the english language in this day and age, albeit for an unfortunate and most disturbing subject.

Too many people today want to be their child's buddy instead of being a parent. I've got a 6 year old grandson who's becoming uncontrollable because his parents don't want to be the bad guy. And they expect Mrs Willy and I straighten him out. Until they step in and quit catering to his every whim and bowing down to his tantrums, there's not much that anyone can do.
