Crews searched for the remains of Rivera and six others Monday amid the wreckage of a plane that crashed in a remote, mountainous area in northern Mexico on Sunday.

Collecting evidence at the scene could take up to 10 days, Alejandro Argudin said, according to Notimex. The wreckage, which includes personal items that belonged to the singer, was spread out over an area that spans up to 300 meters (more than 320 yards), officials said.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board said Monday that it was dispatching a team to help with the investigation.
According to records from the U.S. agency, the airplane was substantially damaged during a 2005 accident when it struck a runway marker near Amarillo, Texas. At the time, the plane's pilot reported losing the ability to steer the twin-engine turbojet.
As the investigationinto Sunday's crashcontinued, fans, family members and entertainers said they were devastated to learn of Rivera's death.

I have no idea who this young lady was but apparently she was very talented and had a lot of fans. Always a tragedy when a person dies at such a young age. RIP Jenni and the other passengers on the plane.

43 years old young and was a mother of 5 children.
She really was talented and was looking to opening a brighter future in the US market.
She had been offered a show here in the US that was in pre-production, and was a "Coach" for the Mexican version of "The Voice", among many other projects she was involved in, besides a singing career. :kilroy:

Wow, this incident just gets darker and darker concerning the owner/company Starwood Management, the more is investigated.

This past September they had an aircraft seized by the DEA.
At least two insurance companies are currently suing them for falsifying maintenance records.
Ownership of the company is extremely fuzzy, but one company officer has a long criminal history, including "Conspiracy to commit fraud with an aircraft" in 2004.
The aforementioned fact by Cirrus N210MS in post #1, that this particular Lear was involved in a 'substantial crash' in 2005.

And now its coming to light the plane plunged 28,000 feet in a matter of seconds.

The plane hit the ground vertically, on it's nose. Everything (plane and everything inside of it) was crushed into small pieces the size of a person's head. Everything. Gruesome. Not really an 'accident'. More like complete failure. They should hang the owner/operators for this.

It most certainly became a classic "lawn dart." I suspect complete failure of the elevator control surfaces...
