• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Strange Old Vehicles

Thanx, Just great....It reflected a time when the human brain was unrestrained,and allowded to inovate,explore,ask why,with out Rules ,Regulations,Lawyers,and a Nanny ,restraining Government..Does any one think today the Wright Bros,Glenn Curtiss,or Charles Lindbergh do what they did??..Ony in triplicate Forms ,red Tape,,with a time factor , with FAA,regulations,approved by an EPA, Billion dollar liability insurance and Tons of cash...These pictures reflect a different time,with different mind sets, a time when if you invented a better mouse trap??? Build it and make a ton of money....I remberer after WW2 the Dropl Gas tanks were utilized in exicting ways"those were the days my friend,we thought they would never end"

second row..or thread..the railbike with the cute girl..i dont know how old that one is..looks pretty old..but my family friend.."The Bear"..ex Southern Pacific Donner Summit road forman,has one like that,,has the hand powered thing and all...he admits its a replica,but theyve "weathered" it.he has 3 or 4 speeders of differant type as well.
