Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

SUNDOWNERSIM - BERLIN TEMPELHOF EDDI 1960s for MSFS20/24

Step back into divided Berlin at the height of the Cold War. Berlin Tempelhof (EDDI) recreates the legendary "Mother of all Airports" in its 1960s glory days, when Pan Am 727s and BEA Viscounts shared the apron with USAF transports under the sweeping canopy of one of the largest buildings in Europe.

Beautiful! I was stationed here '84-'87, and virtually nothing had changed from what you've created here. I run FSX at the moment, and this scenery alone seriously tempts me to upgrade to MSFS2020.

With a kind of Glienicke Bridge or Checkpoint Charlie event scenery, but obvisouly just in neighbourhood of Tempelhof!

I was with the Army Aviation Detachment there in 72-73. We had the 2nd hanger from the left end of the airport. It had U.S. Army Aviation, painted on the doors. We had UH-1D's a U-8 and a U6-A Beaver. The U8 was used ti travel back and forth to and from the west, because it was a twin engine aircraft. The U-6 was used to fly a 20 mile circle from the center of Berlin. It was used for intel. The UH-1's were used to fly around the wall and fir VIP tours in the City.. Great job!

Correction on the hanger location. It was the second from the end on the RIGHT side! My memory plays tricks on me as I am 84 years old

Might depend on where you are standing. If you are looking from the apron then "hangar 2" is the second on the right; if you are looking towards the apron then you'd be on the left. (Sorry, not sure if that makes sense. FWIW I actually spent some time playing table tennis in hangar 1.)
