SOH-CM-2022
Thank you for the great Christmas presents in the form of the B-17's, P-51C and P47!!! I am thoroughly enjoying them.

Are there any repaints I should look for?

SOH Member "Morton" has done several repaints for the P-51 and P-47 - intended for CFS2, but they work just fine in FS9!

Cheers, Mike:ernae:

Im really enjoying the B17 also, i held of buying it as ive had the WOP Bombers set for a long time, but although the WOP B-17 maybe a little more polished, the FDG version just seems to look right and i can see it getting much more airtime.
thanks for the x-mas pressy, cheers ian

In 2005 there was a repaint contest and as a result this model became most probably the most repainted model.

The contest was won by Bomber_12th with "The Flying Scot II/Vicious Virgie" (which seems to have vanished). My personal favourite was "Joan" by AckAck, which was not actually entered in the contest as it was bases on a paintkit by Dave Green.

As said there are loads of repaints. Just check the file library under the names of Cobrauk, AckAck, Captain Kurt, RobH, (and a dozen others).

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks for the leads on various paints. Without knowing who did repaints, it is a lesson in frustration to go through the file lists here at SoH. I can only wonder on how many excellent paints I have missed.........

Don't frett Ad, I missed them too. :banghead: Here every day and never saw them :isadizzy:. Its OK I can't fly the stuff i have now :ernae:.

LouP :friday:

Flyboy...and other interested parties:

Check here and Flightsim.com for repaints by RevEv for the AS P-47. He did a slew of paints....and now that I have the Jug (Thanks Ickie and crew!) I can begin enjoying them.

OBIO, am I to understand that the AS P-47 and the donationware P-47 are one and the same?

Obviously the P51C, B-17 and P47 were ofeered by the SOH as a Christmas present. They were avialable until January 2.

Cheers,
Huub

That will teach me not to go on Christmas vacation away from my PC. :frown: I'm never leaving this chair again.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why I should think before I type. No..the AS and D-Ware Jugs are totally unrelated.
