The Eurocopter EC 505 Tiger by AFS design

Looking for a nice combat helicopter I ran into the free Eurocopter EC-505 Tiger by Andreas Meyer from AFS-design. The model looks real nice, but it is nearly impossible to fly. As soon as you open the throttle just a bit the model really rushes away. Does anybody know whether an alternative flight model has been done as the model is really nice.

Cheers,
Huub

And yes I'm aware the Aussies didn't really like the real thing :biggrin-new:

Hi Mav,

Thanks for your reply. I have that model installed as well. The model by Rory Kelly flies much better ans sounds much better. The model is definitely not bad, but I simply prefer the looks of the other one.

Cheers,
Huub

Hi Huub,

Just a thought.... but couldn't you just swap air files.... if it' s just kinda flies iffy???

I swapped just the .air files and the afs model doesn't fly as an arrow anymore. Flying is much better, but even with the throttle fully closed, it takes ages to get it on the ground. I had a quick look inside the aircraft configuration file and didn't see anything what could explain the odd behaviour.

Cheers,
Huub

Hi Huub,

Try this see if it's any good???

Cheers mav

Thanks Mav, its better, but now it flies a bit like the default Jetranger :biggrin-new: FS9 and helicopters are simply not the best match....

Cheers,
Huub

I have the Abacus Eurocopter Tiger for FS2004 somewhere in my archives. From memory I seem to recall I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the model and, perhaps, the flight model. I'll have to dig it out and take a fresh look.
