The Instrument Panel Alphasim Cessna Bobcat

When Alphasim released the FS9 Cessna Bobcat to free I found it to be a very
good and fun plane to fly. The panel had a auto pilot, a HSI, GPS, thottles,
then I DL it a short time ago, the 2D panel had been stripped of all the
auto pilot, HSI, GPS, and Thottles, this left only a VC panel. Why was the
2D panel removed of the auto pilot, HSI, GPS, and thottles? In the gauge
pack it does show all the gauges for the 2D panel but they never show
up on the 2D panel. Also the Alphasim Halifax, the Alphasim B-24 are
also missing the gauges in the 2D panel, did Alphasim remove them?

Hi,
I don't know about the Bobcat, but I just got the Halifax and it has all it's gauges. The download is 13Mb and once extracted there are 2 folders; aircraft and gauges.

Hmmmm... You mean you downloaded a plane you already had? And it used to work and then it didn't?

Anyway, I just loaded my Bobcat into GW and both the 2D and VC panels had their gauges.

In the old days AlphaSims freeware planes came without a panel, and I believe the reason was that either the panel images and/or some or all of the gauges were owned by their developers, not by AlphaSims, so AlphaSims didn't feel free to give them away. At some point they apparently solved that situation because they started to include the panels with the freeware planes. I have never heard of them including the panels and then removing them.

Anyhooo - I got curious enough to go to the Virtavia freeware page and download another copy of the Bobcat. It came with all the gauges, and the panel.cfg had both the 2D and VC sections.
Very s!range
