The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Giving myself a thrashing here - of course, it's the Youngman-Baynes High Lift Monoplane (mostly Proctor):banghead:

Dohhhh, I should have had this right off - put it down to the heat (and several margaritas) addling the Lefty grey cells yesterday.

Never mind, it's raining today - back to a normal British summer........

I'll press on if Moses doesn't mind - suspect loud zzzzzzz still resounding over the prairies...

Apologies in advance for venturing into the realms of GA again, but this little twin is quite cute -

Let`s continue with the lighter side (sorry Mike):ernae:.
This is not a conversion/modification, but an original design.

No takers?
When it did not work as trainer, it was reworked as s-s agplane.
Riddle: only a tiny bit is from Europe, the majority from Asia

Brilliant, Naki, looks like you got it (although I've found it as the Mavi Isik 78-XA)

Interestingly, one of the things Wout has photoshopped out is the Turkish Air Force insignia. Maybe he can tell us what an air force is doing with agricultural aircraft ???

I think we must give Naki all credits.:salute::salute: How did you find out?
To be precise the aircraft shown is the Mavi Isik XA-78, the trainer prototype. The later developments were the Mavi Iski B and Mavi Isik G-1 ag-planes, the diference being the construction and engine (mixed on the B with 210hp Continental O-360 and all metal on the G-1 with 250hp Lycoming O-540)
The reason for the Turkish insignia was that the original model (the trainer) was developed by personnel of the KIBM, a Turkish AF maintenance unit at the Kayseri AFB.

The next attack is yours Naki! Our enemies already have the white flag ready

PS: May be out for a while. Sending my PC for holidays at the PC shop and hope he will return in much better shape.

Cheers guys - I am on a another mystery aeroplane thread on a NZ aviation site and coincidentally thats the current aircraft (the AG version anyway) I have up (and nobody has guessed it yet) :icon_lol: - I also have an old Janes Pocket Book which is helpful..plus AG aircraft are in my blood

Hope this hasnt been posted before..(sorry about the quality of the pic)

This one is bugging me. I have seen it before (might have been in here previously) but can't remember it offhand.

I posted it about a year ago - Wout guessed it - anyone else have a go before it drives Moses nuts ???

(By the way - my appearances here a bit spasmodic - lost my telephone line a couple of days ago, but mysteriously, broadband works occasionally, but very slowly. My ISP, who appears to be a lady in Bombay, is on the case........)
