• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Okay then, see where this goes...

At first glance I thought this is an Alcor design but now I think this bird might come from Down Under.

Is that the Harkness + Hillier All Australian racer?

:applause:Indeed it is. As part of a PR stunt, they built the plane in a department store so the public could watch the progress. Once the designers realized they could not finish in time for the London-Melbourne race funding and interest dried up. Not sure what became of the airframe.

Suds for Robert. :guinness:

PS: I know we are not supposed to post non-flyers but every now and then you get a real interesting story...:engel016:

Thanks for the additional picture, Kevin. :encouragement:

No non-flyers? I had just prepared an interesting one as my new mystery as a follow-on. :very_drunk:

In this case, what about this airplane?

This one can fairly be described as a parasol wing. However, she was not born this way:jump:
