• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This may be the Lioré et Olivier LeO H-24<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Dave

My references show the H.24 as a 4-engine (dual push/pull configuration) ..... actually this pic (below)
is of the H.24-2 or H.242 as it's sometimes called. There was also the larger H.24-6 or H.246 which had 4 tractor engines.

Actually, John, I think Dave is correct - this is the H-24. (The prototype was actually designated H-240)
The 242's were all 4-engined jobs - the 24-6 a quite different machine.

This from Gérard Hartmann's 'Lioré et Olivier' - the definitive tome.

Over to Canadia.:icon29:

hmmm, everything about it screams Nieuport except the fuselage......

HA ! Found it - the Schiefer-Robbins RS trainer. They even copied the trademark triple binding tapes !

Thanks!

The Morrisey/Shinn/Varga line has always been a favorite. Got to sit in one, almost got a ride, and always thought it would be fun to own.

Now, here's one that seems to feature mother-in-law seating...
