Thank you William. That is a strikingly different scheme that really appeals to the eye. :applause:

A lot of interior improvements since the version you are developing from but no impact to your work.

Thanks, and for the update (fyi, going to move the three earlier versions at least over to Rui's new fuselage and will complete the wings when the new wings template is done). I am sure the interior will be spectacular!
 
I just can't help myself, I keep finding Mallards that just have to be painted (actually thanks to Peter Watkins for this one): a pre-Chalk's livery in red and black for C/N J-43, N3010. Uploading this evening. Limited documentation for this machine is included in the archive. This is for the superb G-73 Mallard Classic model from Milton Shupe and Team. Enjoy!

WIP: N2965, c/n J-24. J-24, a.k.a. "Black Mallard" struck a chord with me. These textures depict her last livery while in the service of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Dept. of Interior. Although she went missing over the Gulf of Alaska in 1974, home base was Vicksburg, Mississippi. No trace of the machine or the four souls on board was ever found. A few more tweaks and it'll be done for the FS9 and FSX-port over by Milton and company.

Looking beautiful there, Wellis - I love these low-key, subtle paint schemes. :encouragement:

Did you try adding a faint alpha channel? - If you're in the mood, start with pure white, then go to brightness/contrast settings, darken by about 10% and then do some minor adjusting according to your taste in sweetness.

You'll be amazed at the depth, vibrancy and classy finish.

Thanks Nigel, I will. I have wanted to do that but a lack of experience with messing with alpha has held me back. Your kind advice helps me overcome that.

wellis, love this new scheme; well done Sir :jump:

Regarding the alpha enhancements, agree with Nigel's comments.

Leave fabric covered areas white (near 255) to negate reflectivity.
Lower areas (and areas facing more downward like under wings/fuse) take to reflectivity easier so usually 230,230,230 to 235's range works well but upper areas (and surfaces facing up), if light colors, may require 220's.
Dark primary channel colors usually require less alpha channel as they take to reflectivity easier.
