This pilot has some skills!

I loved the way he turned the helo perpendicular to the direction of travel to slow down! Using the full side profile as an air brake was smart!

Unfortunately, this type of hot shot approach has led to many SAR/Med helos crashing just as they get to the pick up LZ or the Med LZ.
Looks great for the internet, it does not translate well to mission success/patient survivability.
I'm hoping that the angle from which the video was shot just made it appear to be such a tight, nose down, steep approach.
 
Used all the time with our version of the "Aussie Decel", basically using pedal input to put the fuselage perpendicular to direction of travel.
