• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Update affects graphics

SOH-CM-2023
When I started up today, Steam helpfully installed an update, changing my installation from V1.02.14821 to V1.05.15950. There may well be improvements, but so far the main difference is that the graphics are now hopeless.

Any suggestions, please?

Cam the update be stopped and not installed? I don't want to take the chance of having mine all screwed up.

The problem for me was caused by the epilepsy filter. I unchecked the box and now the game graphics are great. The latest update was a winner for me.

Thank you. Yes, it was the epilepsy filter, which had activated itself. I unchecked it and it is fine now.

GT182 - if you do a backup of the game using the Steam facility you can always go back to the earlier version if you don't like the new.
