I have had a helmet liner identical to the one in this attached photo since the mid 1970s, when a buddy of mine (who was a PR at NATC when we were stationed there) gave it to me.

Until today, I never thought about trying to find out more information about it. All I did was type in the Mil spec number and up came a listing. It provided more information than I knew , which was zip! NC
