V1.3 ah sb2c cog?

jeansy

No longer active
Ive just installed V1.3 and Ive notice this

is it me or does the model's COG to be off, my understanding naval aircraft wing angles where higher so they could fly at slower speeds and generate more lift for takeoff, I find it very weird that the SB2C like the C46 are nose down regardless of the loads and wing angle

1, on level flight and you can see how much the nose of the SB2C is downwards

2, based on the gauges it shows the same inside

3, regardless what loads the COG doesnt change

Here is a shot taken at 119 indicated at just under 8,000 ft. Hands off, no trim.

Your power and prop settings will affect cruise lift. The wing is modeled and set up to the correct profiles. The lift coefficient of the Helldiver wing is excellent for slow speed manoeuvring as per most carrier aircraft.

ok, you are definitely getting a different result than me even with 75% throttle, the only time it levels out is when im near stalling and or <20% prop pitch
can you explain why there is no change to the COG and why its forward rather than center of wing regardless empty or full

CoG position is usually approximately one third of mean chord not centred. Have you moved it? If you move it backward to centre wing, you will definitely tip the nose forward. Remember your aeromodeling days? Also you appear to be showing shots from P3D not FSX (?) It is probably better to contact us via the help desk rather than use this forum. BTW, tanks are on the CoG line so different contents will not change the CoG position.:engel016:

the aircraft cfg is stock

another thing ive noticed, if you trim by adding the 29kgs of ballast, as soon as you raise the twin 50s you dump the ballast

The turtledeck and guns are animated using water ballast valve code.

Yes I said that, however I also said the 29kgs of ballast that can be used to trim the aircraft is dumped one you use that code to raise the guns

Please contact us through the help desk. I cannot continue protracted conversations here. Thanks.
