Virtavia Grumman HU-16 Alabatross Conversion to P3D

gray eagle

SOH-CM-2025
I would like to see a conversion of the VIrtavia HU-16 for P3D. It was a FSX product but in P3D, some of the exterior
colors looks a little faded. The attached NAS Cubi Pt livery was a repaint done for me long ago by a friend.
NAS Cubi Pt is now Subic Bay International Airport. Don't know if I can adjust (darken) the exterior paint.
First one is in P3D and second is in FSX.

Unfortunately the Albatross is still a current payware aircraft for FSX so unless Virtavia either release a P3D version themselves or release it as freeware and allow the community to modify it to P3D standards there is nothing that can be done. I saw the one for MSFS the other day and it got me thinking about digging out my old one from my back-up DVDs but didn't bother when I realized it would be a pointless exercise.

Can't remember which plane but Phil at Virtavia easily gave permission for conversion of another one of their payware FSX a/c to P3D.

Having said that I was never satisfied with the shape and textures (too many rivets!) of the payware version . .

I would however welcome a 64 bit conversion of the Michael Verlin HU16 series . .

I just DL'd the FSX Sp1 version of the Verlin/Pepper HU-16 but unfortunately it is not a contender for conversion to P3D as it is a FS2004 native model that does not have a separate interior model and therefore would not be recognized by P3D.
