vstudios PT Stearman WIP (Payware)

I personally would love to see Vertigo do Corsair...a late variant like an F4u5N.......but also we need an F4U4 to boot.

If we do plan to release another warbird, we would most likely progress on with the F4F. We stopped development on her when JF disclosed that they was also working on one.

Dean...if you contact that airport this week...........its very possible my son and I could take a day trip up there on Saturday to get the info and pics you would like of Grimes Field. I don't geet many saturday's off, and with my son I think it might make for a cool side trip for him and I.

Now that is some good news! If you do get the chance... make sure you also get pictures of the buildings to the east and south of the runway. See attached. :wavey:

An F4F Wildcat would be nice, I am a Grumman fan....but an F3F, purely for FSX, would be sublime.

I've got the old AH model but its just not gettin' er done

I'll give them a call tomorrow (Monday) and see what they say.

PS: And a Corsair....
PPS: My CC is ready for the Stearman!

Yeah, the thread kinda went off the res, with development ideas, but hey... Let's get a bump for current progress on the Stearman! :ernae:

Any new news on release, Deano? Not asking for an exact date, but... Well, ok, I kinda am. :d Just really looking forward to having an awesome Stearman to play around with. :ernae:

I guess I'll take partial blame for that - I love the look of these new Stearman models and only meant to infer that an F3F done to the same
quality would generate similar enthusiasm...speaking only for myself:kilroy:

Deano - any hint as to what your outfit expects to price the Stearman package for?

Ohhhh, Heywoood, I didn't mean it that way, man. :d :ernae:

Actually... I, also, wanted to inquire about the price neighborhood.

As a payware customer of many years, having seen some of the huge price jumps or "inflation" if you will, I would recommend staying in the $20-30 US dollar range. Like the RV-8, which I may still buy, I believe this is a fair range for both sides. You still get a decent amount per purchase, but it's not totally insane like some companies I could but will not name charging $40-60 US dollars for ONE ship.

And, real quick... This thread will not turn into an argument over payware pricing. I was merely making a statement about Vertigo's already great packages and prices, so please, let's stay on topic. :ernae:

The price is yet to be determined, I don't think it'll stretch over $40. However the Boxed version will be higher than the Digital version to cover the publishing costs IE manual etc

Release date is still yet to be decided as we have the authentic recordings from a Stearman to add, however it will be our next release :)

Our current intentions are to release the Stearman with the following :

2 x Models, Military and Civilian with static props IE chocks, covers and so on.
12 x Paints, 6 military and 6 civilian.
2 x Airfields, Grimes airfield and NAS Corpus with static aircraft.

no worries Pilatus - I like to see threads stick to the OP topic also...I just fell into me own trap over the F3F idea lol

Deano - for all it comes with I think your ballpark asking price is a fair deal, you can go ahead and count my money in.

I'd have to agree: given everything you'll receive in the package, the price tag of $30 something dollars isn't going to kill me. :ernae: I love the Stearman too much to not buy this. :d My avatar until recently, was the FS9 Sanderson Stearman; loved that plane.
