• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Ickie has informed us that his computer has bit the dust. Got a water leak and :pop4::pop4:. Anyway we would like to start a fund raiser to replace it. We need about a grand. I know it's a bad time of the year for something like this and with the job market being as bad as it is. So believe me every penny will help. Also it we have a few members that just wanna donate 500.00 a piece that is ok too...lol. We sure could use everybody's support in this matter....Mike BTW, we will set up a one button press for the donation. Ron keeps everything at our site running smoothly for our enjoyment at no pay.

Good afternoon,

I'll try to see if I can scrape up a few bucks. :mixedsmi:

Ill try to scrape up a few bucks.... albeit a bit tidy. I've been basically out of work for over two years so cash is tight.

I'm happy to kick in a bit. Mickey D's suggestion regarding household insurance coverage for the damage might be worth investigating, although I don't know what Ickie's personal situation is.

I will donate as well when I get paid on the 1st! Between going to the inlaws for Thansgiving and buying X-mas I am tapped out till then. We will make Ickie like new again though... Is there anything left salvagable I the tower like the drives, or did it all bite the dust?

Do we use the "Donate" button on the menu above or something else? I'll do my best.

I used the "Donate" button. I'm certain the money will get at the right spot. :jump:
Hope this "'puter for Ickie" action will be a great success.

Cheers,
Maarten
