G'day All;

Not being nosey, just curious about how many of yous use each virgin version of Windows for CFS2.
Please be genital gentle as this is my 1st poll. in a long, long time.

Many belated Thanks to the SOH "Software Magician" who kindly recreated this function from long ago.

Judging by the responses in this forum, many seem to still be using WinXP.
I naturally wonder why?

Personally, I started flying CFS2 in the summer of 2005.

Have built 3 PCs for myself over the years and used at least 2 o/s on each one.
With each new version of Windows, CFS2 "seemed" to display BETTER on the new o/s with the same hardware.

WinXP to Win7 (x64 + 16GB RAM) .. WOW ... MUCH BETTER!
- not just the level of detail but generally seemed to have a broader range of colours.

Win7 to Win10 ... CFS2 looked absolutely amazing ... with sharper detail and an overall better image.

Win10 to Win11 ... I kinda cheated here. New NVidia GTX 1660Ti 6GB GDDR6 2 years ago.
Added 16GB DDR4 for a total 32GB RAM with Win11.
- looked AMAZING in Win10 with the new vid card.
Significantly BETTER in Win11
STUNNING ... It looks so close to real ... LOD8 ... I swear I can see the grass "wafting" in the breeze!
Scenery sliders are maxed .. & balls to the wall!
Who needs a frame-rate counter !!! SAY WHAT ????

Or maybe it's just my imagination?
IMHO: CFS2 looks better on each new edition of Windows.
Then again .. maybe because I'm getting older ... or maybe because I drink too much beer ... or maybe because cannabis is legal in Canada.......

Win 7 Home Pro, 8 gigs Ram DDR3, I7 Processor, Nvidia Gforce GTX 750 Ti, projecting HDMI output to a 27" TV. Getting 550 FPS on empty sky with no 2D cockpit

CFS2 has worked fine for me on Windows ME, XP, 7, and currently 10. I only updated to 10 so I could continue using FSX Steam Edition. My hardware needs to be updated so 10 works faster.
