What's your favorite "tail dragger?"

Well, mine used to be the 7AC Champ :ernae: and I still fly LilSki's model quite a lot. However, since I have gotten back into "real world" flying, I am flying Brian Gladden's Cessna 140 most of the time.

As most of you'll know, Lionheart is in the very early, early, early,,,, :running: stages of developing a Cessna 140. I expect when that one comes out, it will go the top of my favorite's list. :applause:

Well, mine used to be the Aeronca Champ, by LilSki. Here of late, I've been flying the beautiful Super Cub, by J.E. Narcizo, with a superb paint by John Humphries. I get much better frame rates with the Super Cub, and handling is great. I too am waiting for Bill's Cessna 140, as it will be a winner, as are all of his offerings.

Tough question. My favorite warbird taildragger is the AH Spitfire Mk XIX. Civil would have to be Milton's Beech 18 with the JBK Boeing 307 Stratoliner in a close second.

O' course my answer could be different next week or tomorrow even.

Edit: If we're talking light aircraft, then the freeware J.E. Narcizo SuperCub is it.

Cesssna 140, Piper Pacer, Fairchild 24R, Bellanca Cruisemaster 230, Bellanca CruiseAir.... and I think I am forgetting a few more.

(Cant have one fave... )

Bill

In no particular order...

Milton's Howard 500
Gary Herbert's B-17G
Wozza's Mustang
Airhead's Super Deke
Oliver Fischer's Ju-52
Mike Stone's Bristol 170 Freighter

Willy, I didn't really make it clear in my posting of this thread but, I was thinking General Aviation single engine aircraft.

From what some of you have posted, I might just have to get the Super Cub....

Randy

I just sent Mr. Ito a request for an Aeronca Chief...:jump:

Who knows, he may do it...:kilroy:

Well, since you put it that way, these two! DHC-2 (Aerosoft) and the Helio H-295 (Piglet's Peculiar Planes.) The Helio can be a handfull on landing. I've read the real one was too.

where did you get that livery for the beaver?
please don't say it comes with the package! I've got the stripped down Freight Dogs version...:banghead:

I've been flying Bill Lyons Travel Air a lot lately...

I love Bill Lyons Tri-Pacer.. But its not a tail dragger.

Reminds me.. I'm going to have to get out the Swift and fly around in McCarthy, Alaska!
