• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Where do you Live???

My butt is sitting just a half-mile from this bustling airport terminal is located. A couple of J-3 pilots are arguing who bought the gas the last time.

We're in a place called Rowley Regis in the Middle of Middle England. Although the area isn't covered in the detritus of the iron foundries any more, it's still referred to as The Black Country and randomly you'll see reminders of its past such as chimneys no longer attached to factories/foundries or old Victorian buildings amongst the new build flats that no-one can afford any more and new build Aldi and Netto cheapomarkets.

One of the boss's pics on Flickr sums the area up...

Noordwijk

I live in a small sea-side resort called Noordwijk. Now its autumn it has about 26,000 residents. However it is a lovely small village where people love to stay. During the holiday season whe share our village with 80,000 tourists :costumes:. Our most famous inhabitant was Alfred Heineken, but Orlandini (former chairman from KLM), Martin Schreuder (Martin Air) lived here as well.

Excellent idea to check Flickr for appropriate pictures, Ian!
Well, this from where I live. The statue to the left in the first picture is to commemorate the Flemish author Filip the Pillecyn - I personally find it rather funny that the town council wanted to commemorate a man who was sentenced for collaboration during WWII...
Subsequently, I'm not really proud of that :censored: statue!

The second picture is taken where bikers can get on a shuttle boat to the other side, to a neighbouring town.

Oops I forgot something....

For Cazzie, his name is Chef (Boss) and somehow this name fits him very well! He is 9 years old. And he really loves everybody :costumes:.

To get a bit more precise here:

it´s a small very hidden and quiet (no, you won´t find me) little street in the university-district of Duisburg (western Rhine and Ruhr-area). Lot´s of students, great pubs/beer, many pizza-restaurants...

1. Something else lives here, too (they rule, we pay the rent:isadizzy:)
2. The "secret" garden this summer, quiet in the middle of a big city
