• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

When you get this right outside your office door!
Had to go through the screen...he's perched on the hanger for my bird feeder that is about 8ft from the door. I don't think he's here for the seed!

Cool pic. By an amazing coincidence, just five minutes ago, while sitting here at this computer and looking out the window on my back yard, I saw a huge owl take off from a tree. No time to get a pic though!

Great shot Rob! :applause:

The screen makes it look like tapestry or cross-stitch work instead of a photo.

A week or so ago, my father-in-law and I were working on the neighbor lady's S-10 truck. We were standing beside the truck bending some new fuel line into the needed shape when we heard this wooshy sound go over our heads, then saw a large bird spread its wings just before plunging into a small maple tree. It was a male Red Tail Hawk barreling his way into the leaves and branches in an attempt to grab a song bird for chow. Was quite a sight.

From what I can figure out looking at my book it is a juvenile hawk of some sort...the young ones appear to look the same across different species.
