Window 10 support ending in 2025

Yes support ends but the system will still run. You can install a good anti virus with firewall and you should be good till it dies.

Yep, Windows 10, advertised as the last version of Windows when released, has been replaced by Windows 11. I'd wager that Windows 12 will be announced within the next 12 months and M$ will go back to releasing a new version of Windows every 3 years or so.

Got an email from Microsoft stating that support for Win 10 will end in 2025.

https://www.ghacks.net/2024/04/12/a...s-end-of-support-notice-for-windows-10-users/

But that is a year and a half away but I hear that there are software firewalls that could take over for hacker and malware protection that Win 10 is doing.

My rig will not support win 11 and on a fixed income have to make ends meet ($$$) or at least wave at each other

Hi Butch,

You could take a look at this: https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/

It's the security I use, it's very good and not intrusive at all. And it's not that expensive!

Cheers,

Priller

I've used Eset Antivirus for the past 15 years (?!). No issues and it has done its job. I'm running Win 10 now and I'm waiting for see how Windows 12 shakes out. I could jump to Windows 11, but from what I have seen there is little incentive to do so until 2025 comes. By that time, I'll probably be considering a new system build any way.
