Y'all reckon Kyle Busch is racing for a Championship this year?

More to rag EasyEd than anything else, Hell my man Denny is sure out-to-pasture!

KB didn't drive his prettiest race, but he was in the prettiest spot when the checkers fell. That's four for the year in Cup.

I can't believe I was cheering for the 18 today on that last restart... :icon_lol:

Yea verily, Ye shall be won over. :icon_lol:

There was an aura about him when he was a big mouth teenage sprat. Like my old HS coach always said, "You either got it or you not got it". I knew from the git-go Kyle Busch got it.

I think Kyle has matured to the point that he is a serious contender and this may well be his year.

As for Denny... the kid just can't seem to catch a break this season. He's clinging to the chase by the skin of a wild card spot.

Hey All,

Who the heck ever heard of getting the flu in August when it's 80 deg F outside? Jeez... Well I did so after a couple days of flu krap I can start catching up on some replies.

The 18 had the advantage the Gibbs Toyotas always have - the drive off corners 2 and 4. The 18 was the better car at the end when it counted - the 48 was loose - but it was the 48's best finish ever at Michigan.

If you saw 30 mins you won't ever get back you saw what Kyle Petty said when asked what he though of Kyle leading the points - is he? That's what I think of it. or words to that effect. I agree with Kyle.

Also note Kyle has 4 wins and 13 top 5s Jimmie has only 1 win and 9 top fives and they both have an equal number of top 10s - yet Jimmie is only 10 points behind. Tells me Jimmie is a lot more consistent and that will matter in the final 10 races and of course we all know what the Gibbs teams do under pressure from last year.

The guy to watch for is the 3rd place car this last weekend.

That event happened on 24 May :mixedsmi:

I know! Still that kind of speed, going past a church and daycare center, WITH his wife in the car, shows pisspoor judgement. He got off easy! But since he's doing better in racing, I guess that's part of the deal. If he'd had done that up here, he's had lost more then that, we could give a rats*** about who he is, or what he does for a living!

I agree.
But the point is that he has matured much since May. EasyEd will tell you it's because of the Richard Childress incident however I differ in opinion/view since Tony Stewart "learned" well under Gibbs and has significantly matured from the hot-head that he used to be....

But regardless of how he matured, the fact of the matter is that he has matured much (thus far) since May....

Oops! We had a temporary crash of the maturity facade last night but they will have a new one up later today.
