Brilliant work on the VC WellisAbsolutely gorgeous.
I will check whether I can can dig up something in my files, which answers the question about the text on the yoke.
Cheers,

Not sure which template is causing the problem. This paint, attached, is Dusty done with the solid nose P70A2 paint kit for the release of the models. The problem you depict was not encountered in the livery I have done and it is likely that you are trying to use the P70A1, which has the painted over nose, which will give the result you have shown. The research materials I have indicate that Dusty was a P70A2 solid nose. (there were a couple of others that I believe had that nose art besides Dusty)
Well no worries, your Dusty is a beautiful piece of work.!
And good to know about the nose differences, thanks.

Getting closer?? I cannot wait for this one!
Thanks for the update Milton.
I am currently finalising the last couple of bits on this one today, then back too red and yellow bits on the Vichy scheme.

Need some help on the Yoke Stem Text ... anybody have a readable reference.
Scratch this request; no longer needed. Thanks
Do you have the text or did you skip the label? Funny enough most pictures I found of this yoke stem didn't have the label. In the squadron/signal publications you can find 4 clear pictures from different cockpits but none of them has the label on the stem. The A-20G from the National Museum of the USAF has the label on the stem and although there are some high resolution pictures available, on not one of these pictures I was able to read the text.
Now I was digging through the manuals, but although there was a part covering the H-type dinghy, it didn't reveal what the label said, nor was there a hint to what else it said on the label......
Cheers,
Huub
