An FSX Moment

Beautiful shots fellows. :ernae:

I took a late afternoon flight to Roanoke last Friday using Piglet's Mite and Active Sky 6.5 correlated with the FSUIP 4.0 for FSX. Weather was beautiful here and visibly was unlimited, ergo no clouds in my screens, just some late afternoon haze.

Say Daube, is there any performance hit with that 3rd party bloom module?

It depends on your hardware, and the settings you choose in the .ini file of the module. On my Q6600 + 8800 GTX, WinXP SP2, FSX SP2, I have only 1 FPS impact... yes, just one FPS. :jump:
However, I have seen people experiencing more severe impact. I do not know if they were using the bad drivers, or bad settings or anything. However, this module is just consisting of two files that you drop in the main FSX folder. There is nothing to launch, nothing to edit, nothing to modify to make it work in FSX (or FS9). To uninstall it, you just delete the two files and you're done.

Here I have packed the DLL module and its INI file I am currently using.
You can give it a try, drop them in the FSX root folder, launch FSX and when you are in the cockpit (at dawn or dusk, it's better), press SHIFT + F12, and see what happens :)

Daube - is this module for DX10 vista or does it work with Xp Dx9c ?

This module works in Windows XP, I'm not sure for Vista but you can give it a try. It will work in FSX and FS9. I am using it in FSX in Windows XP (so DX9) and my brother is using it in FS9 and this module is giving him fantastic atmospheric effects !!

Dawn Patrol

Up early and flew the Mite from Danville to Greensboro. A few shots and gotta run and start breakfast for all.

Sundown is the golden moment in FS, with the electric motor off and prop feathered i have only the rumble of the wind on the fuselage to remind me i am not a bird but instead am covered in composite veil of virtual reality , don’t pinch me when i am dreaming of flight

I know that module from Strike Fighters. In there, combined with 4*AA it hit performance pretty good.

Lets see how it copes with Vista 64.
