An FSX Moment

I know that module from Strike Fighters. In there, combined with 4*AA it hit performance pretty good.

Lets see how it copes with Vista 64.

In fact, this module includes several effects (bloom, oclusion, movie effect etc...), and some of them can be pretty hard on the FPS. Fortunately, in the INI file, you have a chance to choose what effects you want to activate or not. If you activate only the bloom, and set the bloom parameter correctly, the impact on the FPS can be quite limited.

Daube - thankyou - I would like to reduce the overall effect by half or maybe one third...

there does not seem to be much of a frame rate impact at the default settings...

I know those screenshots are not in very good lighting for comparison - the first of each example is with the effect off...

I like the slightly darker look and more hazy or mistyness it brings - but there is a defined aural effect around each light source that I would love to knock down a peg... a less is more kind of a deal.

I just don't know which set of numbers to play with in the file..

That glider looks like it is coming on well Chuck :applause:
thanks Nick i am trying to get this done for Christmas.
Its panel work is what’s on my playlist these days , weekend projects are like that where you tinker a little and go try it out .<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
The Garmin was what i wanted in this with an additional flight display that has an hsi and position indicator included, it doubles as a HUD when you click on it , this can be turned off as well as all other electronic instruments to use the traditional glider set , also handy in case of battery failure or full discharge being it’s a battery powered glider.

A few of these exist with power available for a half hour to get you to altitude , so the concept is flying today even if this version isn’t, i used a form from nature for its design i find flies well at low speed and glides half the time the Dragonfly , and an idea that was presented by Dr Raimer we explored in FS9 called the Next , that the rationale behind the name also insofar as its the rebuild for FSX , a total rebuild with nothing much left but the name and electric motor

Heywood, look into the [BLOOM] section of the ini file. The parameter are a bit complex, but some of them are quite explicit.
By the way, those are not the default parameters. Those parameters have already been tweaked according to my preferences, the original ones were much more exagerated, like you can see in the evening cockpit shot I posted before.

Nice :applause:

Thanks Daube for making me aware of these files - I will experiment with them as I see virtually no FPS impact whatsoever on my rig and see the effects overall as an improvement to FSX :ernae:

Nice pic!

An interesting vantage point...from the port of Seattle. I recognized the logo on the cranes :d

Dawn! It's got to be dawn... Dawn on gossamer wings - what experience could ever beat that?
