City Textures rework

I took a long break from this project and recently continued with placement work on Rochester, and have just about completed a representation of 1940's Fort Pitt. I need to still create some raised trees for positioning on the fort itself.

Welcome back! Quite impressive as always!
Thank's Daniel, fort building layout is loosely based on historical googlearth images, it looks nothing like this today..

Added some placements to Rochester yesterday.

Working on this mod requires many game startups to check and adjust placements, and it's slow going with the new shaders which affect game and mission startup times.

I've had to disable the ui startup animations so that I get the mission failure screen to make the game start sooner. I did try to revert to the old shaders for mod work but it causes a ctd.

I set my fog haze density setting to 0.1 which looks a bit better to my eye.

New placements are in the right foreground with placements pending in the left foreground, and then I'll finish work on the Chatham naval shipyard.

Remind me again how you get that no surf water border?
Daniel created a scaled down shoreline texture and I took it a step further, see post #289 on this thread.

Love your work
Likewise, your current map work is amazing, not to mention your AI radar mod. I was editing the bob missions and aircraft for use with ground control when I got sidetracked by this mod.

This guy Michael Konnar has a great Dailymotion page featuring old war doccies.
I'm currently downloading the brilliant Great war series with videodownloadhelper.

I'm generally a great hoarder of ww1 and ww2 doccies, as well as combat flight and European/American history..

Awesome! Keep it coming Glen!

Ain't that the truth! I used to like working in BoB2 where you could add items in-game, a much better system!

As 'Rogeroger' I did a fair amount of Placement work in Bob2. I created templates for placing groups of building objects in one go. It's a pity that the sim's engine is now dated and it doesn't work properly on post Win7 versions. I had tons of fun terrain modding and playing through the RAF campaign.
