HI all!
For all who have been following the saga of Pitoe And Wama, I have just finished my first ever repaint of a John Young AI B-24.
Once it is refined I will include it in my package, when the scenery is done.
This is just a generic 307th BG Long Rangers aircraft. No nose art and imaginative tail #. Info and pictures are hard to come by. The only thing I know for sure are the Long Ranger Logo and the facts that the different squadrons had the tip of the tail fins painted a different color (but no idea what those colors were) and that the fuselages had no code letters.
This is the first time I have worked with a paint kit that included layers and alpha channel. Is it perfect? Not at all but I learned so much in two days!
The insignia spot on the alpha channel is a little out of place and I need to do away with weathering layer, but otherwise I am pleased.
Thanks,
Joe
