FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

I have moved all images from the Fokker DR.I to a separate thread.

But there is always room for another Fokker. I hope at least one person will be happy with this repaint......

Unteroffizier Willi Gabriel's Fokker D.VII 286/18 underwent incremental paint scheme changes and is illustrated here as it looked when 'finished'. Prior to the war Willi had built his own aeroplanes and was called to service at the outbreak. By early 1915 he was flying two-seaters with FA 34. He would score his 1st victory in a two-seater on 22 March 1918 and converted to single-seaters shortly afterwards finding himself at Jasta 11 on 15 April 1918. He had brought his score up to 7 by the end of June and on 18 July he shot 4 more down, 3 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, to bring his tally up to 11... where it would remain. His dislike of the Geschwader commander Herman Göring was reciprocated and he found himself sent away from combat for the remainder of the war. There is a rumour that Göring did send Willi away to prevent him from winning the "Pour le Merite". That is why some people say the 1966 movie "The Blue Max" is inspired by Willi Gabriel's story. Willi served in the Luftwaffe in WWII and died in 1968 aged 75. (Text based on WingNut instruction sheet).

Still some work to do, but nearly finished.

Cheers,
Huub

HI Michael,

As it not was too much work to convert a standard 5 colour lozenge scheme in this very early scheme, it was relative simple to create this present for you ;). Willi Gabriel flew a very early version of the Fokker D.VII and the model by Stuart Green is a a much later version. But that is something I can not change.

There are still a few details I need to do, but I will upload the repaint somewhere in the next days. Some things to adjust are for instance the cross at the tail is still incorrect (and the rudder and tail are in a different scale ) and I still need to adjust the stenciling. And of course a final check as I most probably forgot something :D.

I intend to do this version with the orange stripes over the fuselage and a second version in the livery previous to that one. So a version without the orange stripes over the fuselage. The main reaon is that are many photographs of this plan (and pilot) without these stripes and hardly any pictures in this final scheme.

Nearly there ,
Huub

Good afternoon Huub

I supose you also know german expressions I doesn't know translate the right way
"da läuft mir schon das Wasser im Mund zusammen" means I am dursty about what you do.

sometime in the mid to late 1990's these photos were taken. This Aircraft later became G-OOAN with Air 2000/First Choice Airways then served for Thomson Airways in 2008 and was then converted to a freighter and served for Star Air Cargo and is active as C-FGSJ with CargoJet since January 2015.

Seen here departing to Manchester Ringway, UK.

Very impressive repaints Huub Vink.
Accuracy and attention to detail, combined with talent, make things possible that leave us in awe.
Perhaps we may even hope to see another repaint of this amazing quality for the Fokker D.VII.
The equally fantastic base model deserved it.
Regards

Thanks for the kind words Scotty.

Although I'm absolutely sure I did this repaint in the past, as I even have sceeenshots showing it, I couldn't find it anywhere. So I decided to do it again.

BYW I never realise what an ugly aircraft the D.VII actually is. I think it qualities as a fighter, makes you think it looks good.

In reality, this Aircraft has not had the Winglets but i thought it looked just better with them, so i added them.

For those who are not amused to see every day again commercial airliners and scenery that begins to invade here
there is a new place for all of you who like vintage scenery and vintage aircraft . From the beginning of flight until the sixties.
This place should be also to remember all the creators and designers who gave us some much nice FREEWARE aircraft and scenery
for FS2004.

Michael, just because YOU don’t like Airliners and fancy new Glass Cockpits, doesn’t mean EVERYBODY has to only prefere and only fly the old vintage stuff… And as the Admins of this Forum allready stated it a few times: THIS IS A FORUM FOR EVERYBODY!!! not just for old grumpy offensive Guys…

Notice:
Of course, i do enjoy flying old Aircraft from time to time as well… but for now, i do prefere the Airliners and fancy new Glass Cockpits and Flying by FMC/FMS Computer Programmed Autopilots, simulating real Flights I’ve flown by myself in the real world… :D, so you should leave that decision up to everybody… not just to your own viewing preferences!

Oh and btw. my 767-300 commercial airliner, with fancy new glass Cockpit :D :p , IS indeed FREEWARE!!!

(Created by SkySpirit - or nowadays known as Tenku Developer Studios (TDS) by the well known japanese FREEWARE Developer, Hiroshi Igami, who’s btw. doing a tremendous Job at what he provides to the Community! - Hiroshi had thousands of hours of work flown and invested into these beautiful commercial Airliners with fancy new Glass Cockpits… paid hundrets of visits to airports and possibly hundrets of Japanese Yen into Photographic Equipment to get Pictures of the Real Aircraft, just to have a good reference for his Creations… and so, i think all of that should and can or has the place to be honoured in this Forum here as well…)

Oh and btw. these beautiful commercial Airliners with fancy new Glass Cockpits, are also available for you, - completely for free - to enjoy…
if you want to… :p :D - just saying...

Hey hey..Michel, come on, stop having a dig at others. This is the Fs2004 screenshot post, so all are welcome. Yes, the Fs2004 forum here has been much more about vintage and warbird ac (which you know is also my thing), but it's not exclusive to that. Just post and enjoy, maybe you/we can learn how to get better screenshots or some new scenery or settings to improve our own experience?

And you never know, some may even be tempted over to the 'dark' side...ha ha..;)

Cheers

Shessi
And AB stop 'taking the bait' every time...it's like being at school..lol

Gentlemen, tastes differ, let's keep it at that shall we? And if everybody would refrain from personal insults, that would be helpful as well.

Hallo Priller,
just as information one of the adminstrators of the german FS2004-Team sended an email to the adminstrators of this site here.
it contains some info about AB.
Just for info
And to be said to be old and crumpy - - -
A bit hard from some one who pretended in one of its post to be an airliner pilot and in reality things are a bit different
I tried to make a new screenshot thread just to avoid such collisions
I will no longer make any comments about this topic.

Best regards

Michael
