More Meteors from Rob Richardson!

AW Meteor NF.11 "51-513" of 723 Esk, Royal Danish Air Force in its delivery paint scheme from the UK. The Danish Meteors later got a different Danish camouflage pattern which differs from the standard RAF/factory paint scheme.

All new textures with new panel lines and bump files.

Do any of you have any info about the right side camouflage pattern around the serial number (51-513)? I have only found a rather long range shot which barely shows the aircraft, but it might look like the grey extended around the number in a similar way as the RAF used grey around their serial number (albeit further back on the RAF Meteors).

Hi JensOle

Maybe you can find something usefull on this site : http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfblume/sets/72157638528692053/

And should you have an irresistible desire to paint other aircraft from the Royal Danish Air Force, the is a lot of inspiration here  : http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfblume/sets/

Søren,

Thank you so much! That is indeed a treasure box! A very comprehensive picture collection of all of the Danish Meteors and many great shots of the NF.11. My assumptions were very much correct for the right side. Having all these detail pictures will be of great help for the smaller details.

Meteor F8 '44-500' which served with no 724 Squadron, Royal Danish Air Force, based at Aalborg Air Base. The drop tanks have since been painted the same grey as the undersides!

Thanks again Peter for your beautiful work on the Danish Meteors :applause:

Actually, it's another one, so hopefully they'll be complementary.

OK Andy but watch out for the No 8 Squadron 'arrow' squadron marking order of colours. The 'Warpaint' picture shows the order from top to bottom of 'yellow-red-blue' when I have a colour photo of VZ603 that shows the order as 'Yellow-blue-red'!
Nearly finished VZ603 now.

Looking good Peter.

Yes, I'd noticed the colours in the Warpaint profile were a touch odd; I included an 8 Squadron repaint when I uploaded the Hunter FR9 Dave Garwood kindly passed me, so knew what the order was supposed to be. Reassuring to know I've not completely lost my marbles. :-D

Just a few non-British NF11 paints, again with revised panels and bump maps!
