Tried to put the wheels on this wagon having one issues after another getting this thing to run in P3D V3.4 and noted some things of interest.
This thing may work just dandy in FSX but for P3D V3.4 users I can attest to some issues that I tried to fix.
When I looked at the models folders and opened it, it contained:
[models]
//normal=CVN_74 -fianlcon2dxt <<<don't know what the fianlcon2dxt is all about but it caused my P3D V3.4 to freeze up.
normal=CVN_74_p3d.mdl >>> I tried this mdl and the ship floated in the air, at least I could see it when I selected it.
The flying carrier - again.
So I used modelConverterX and it created a MDL file called: CVN_70
I edited the model cfg folder thusly:
[models]
normal=CVN_70
And it stoped flying - Yes the ID number on the carrier remained 74 - I landed on the FD and checked.
So now another barrel of "FUN" - The wake also rises. I suspect I can find the issues with the wake and correct that:
The solution is
"open the effects fx_wake_s, fx_wake_ss, and fx_wake_l with notepad and check if they contain the parameter:
TempK=107.00
TempRate=0.01
or
TempK=109.00
TempRate=0.01
both will provoke that wakes rise to the sky and they are not a part of a normal fsx wake effect.
You can edit them out with notepad, or if you have a back-up overwirte them with the original wake effects.

At least I'm gonna try that again.
Some concerns (Red circles) with the roundish wake effect from the stern. This was an issue with the USS New York if memory serves.
The config flight deck works well in P3D (V3.4) A lot of people milling about on the FD. Maybe they are doing FOD walkdown
