Figured the floater would last about an hour!

This Navy bomber was flown in 1934. The company designed nearly a dozen aircraft over a span of 14 years or so.
 
I just learned that this racy “flying boat” was built twice but neither of the two made it into the air, both sank during evaluation. It comes from a beautiful country mostly surrounded by sea.
