Where do you Live???

Damn Ian, I lived down the road from you in Barnoldswick for a few years, thankfully sold my house at the beginning of this year though and got back to Cumbria ;)

Il live in Berlin not far from the stadtmitte . However I don't want to show you a picture Today , but how was berlin before ....

finally , there is a place where I love to go, it is Luxembourg and Belgium close to Bastogne .

Best regards Anna

Berlin is one of my favourite cities! :applause:
Been there twice and would go back anytime! Still need to go to the zoo and the Gatow museum, and maybe to the Technik museum as well.

:)

I was born in (East-)Berlin and spent the first eight years of my life there.

Right in the eye of the storm, so to say. We used to live 500 metres away from the first checkpoint that opened on 11/9/89 (Bornholmer Strasse); I witnessed an anti-StaSi demonstration somewhen during spring 1990 and the reunification on 10/3/90.

Sadly, I can't remember only fragments and I'm not really sure about whether I was out with my parents on that night in october. I can vaguely remember something about my parents dressing me up in a hurry and then some celebration outside on a big square (Alexanderplatz?).

Well, whatever. I used to love this city, but the whole Tempelhof and Palast der Republik thing made me lose much respect for its authorities.

I go back every once in a while on occasion and despite all the digging, demolishing and reconstructing going on there (Some places have changed big time over the years!), the whole "flair" is somehow still there.

Anna, wo genau wohnst du?

I was in the RAF in Berlin from 86 to 91.....This in me in another chopper catching this one before the wall fell.....:banghead:

We all have a note in our avatar pertaining to our location......but a picture is better than a thousand words.....

I live here in Panama City on the Pacific Ocean, 10 miles from the Canal....:wavey:

Gera, I want to thank you for starting this thread. I have always thought that one of the wonderful things about the internet was how people from all over the world are brought together.

Seeing all the interesting and sometimes exotic places SOH's live reinforces that belief. If memory serves me correctly, we represent every continent with the possible except of Asia. Guess, we need to recruit Asian flight simmers. :costumes: If I am wrong and missed someone from Asia who posted in this thread, I apologize for the slight. Please correct me. That will mean I have SOH friends on every continent of the world!

Peace be with you my friends,
La paix soit avec vous mes amis,
Frieden ist mit Ihnen meine Freunde,
Η ειρήνη είναι με σας οι φίλοι μου,
La pace è con voi i miei amici,
Мир с вами мои друзья,
La paz sea con usted mis amigos,
Mir s vama prijatelji moji,
Rauha teille ystävilleni,
Fred vara med er mina vänner,
.السلام عليكم يا أصدقائي
שלום לך להיות עם החברים שלי.

I posted a picture of me earlier in my truck, where I often feel I live. Here are some pictures taken off the web from the noted Louisiana photographer C.C. Lockwood. They capture some of the beauty to be found in Louisiana.

I love Berlin too, I've been there twice and would love to go again (maybe next summmer). Would have to visit Gatow, but I'm very sad I've never flown to Tempelhof :frown:

Here's a little salute for Tempelhof
