Monty's C-47 (1948) wip!

Fun stuff learning "how" and learning how to use Photoshop with all those neat tools and such at the same time from a Paint.net user!!! :biggrin-new:

Now just got to get as half as good as Vauchez's work.

The times I have spent caressing the flanks of some sundry C-47's past.......have left the indelible impression that at least fifty percent of their weight be that of rivet fasteners.

Thank you for reinforcing...even...validating that impression to be real....

( Same goes for the B-17...too.)

Ted-

She's beginning to blur the line.... there are billions of light points and shadow detail that together make up what our eyes see IRL... you must have breached the first billion mate- WOW!

Thanks for your perseverance- looking forward to the drool.

Thanks jankees, C, everyone! Amazing amount of tools and techniques in PS6 I haven't even thought about using now until I was shown by experts.

Toying with this one, always loved the Gulfhawk and it only comes in orange. Factory fresh version. Wip for now, but after I finish the DAk, will be back with this one. And it only comes in orange!

Needs better strips, but for now.

Nice, but I'm hung up on KN628 ..... I will fly her around the world to celebrate her release :)

Just got an updated model from Manfred today to work with. Elevator trim tab linkage is now correct for one. Good stuff! :adoration:

The right elevator trim linkage is now located on the bottom and removed from the top.

can you elaborate a bit on this please. Always great to learn some new techniques :jump: You're doing a great job! Very realistic.

I use this add on for Photoshop 6 in my work. http://quixel.se/suite/

Can work directly on normal maps. Here I've added three different test shapes on top of a bump mapped texture of a F3F model.

In the box you can make changes of the shape on the fly... very handy.

Sorry for delay... life stuff, very much disappoint with people, but hey here is an update using stuff I've learned from master Photoshop experts who do aircraft.

Focus was on the cowls and center wing area... more to do as more to learn is applied.

That level of detail is.. well.. stunning! Taking nothing from the other two shots, the underside is, for that type of weathering and wear, the best I've seen.

Nice one Ted:encouragement:

Bjoern, If you don't like the progress shots, just ignore the thread.

He's a funny guy, but incredibly talented though. :adoration:

Next step is how to apply flying oil from the radials bleeding all over it. :biggrin-new:
